WEB STATIONS
Web Stations are low cost computer work stations which provides access to the Internet.  Web
Stations do not require any maintenance because there is no hard drive to save questionable or
undesirable material.  As a result, Web Stations can not catch computer viruses, worms, spyware, and
adware.

Conventional computers require extensive maintenance.  In a recent article written by Gregg Keizer in
Internetweek.com, he writes that an unpatched PC will survive only 16 minutes before it is infected.  To
patch your PC, it takes extensive amounts of time for each PC.  Once your PC is infected, it may require
many costly tools and take many hours to "clean up" your PC.

In addition to not being able to be infected, Web Stations are perfect for places where many different
people will be using one work station to access the Internet.  The different people using the Web
Station can not install software or change the configuration of the Web Station.  The configuration of
the Web Station is cleared every time the Web Station is shut down; thus, performing its own
maintenance.
